Livefields Festival 2025 – A Day of Incredible Music, Food and Community Spirit
Livefields Festival 2025 – Capturing an Unforgettable Day in West Yorkshire
There are some events that perfectly capture what summer in Yorkshire is all about, and Livefields Festival 2026 was certainly one of them.
Held at the beautiful Oakwell Hall in Birstall, Livefields Festival brought together fantastic live music, incredible local food, refreshing drinks, community organisations and thousands of smiling faces for a day that nobody wanted to end.
As the official photographer covering the event, I had the privilege of documenting everything from the first visitors arriving through to the final performances as the sun began to set.
From genuine laughter and dancing crowds to unforgettable performances and amazing local businesses, every photograph tells part of the story of what was a truly brilliant day.

A Festival Blessed with Perfect Summer Weather
Yorkshire certainly turned on the sunshine.
With temperatures climbing throughout the afternoon, the festival grounds quickly filled with families, groups of friends and music lovers making the most of the incredible weather.
The warm sunshine created the perfect atmosphere for an outdoor festival.
People relaxed on the grass, sang along with the bands, danced in front of the stages and simply enjoyed spending time together.
As a photographer, this kind of weather creates fantastic opportunities. Bright colours, genuine smiles and natural light all combine to create vibrant images that perfectly reflect the atmosphere of the day.
Rather than posed photographs, the aim was to capture authentic moments as they happened naturally.
A Fantastic Line-up of Live Entertainment
Livefields Festival once again showcased an outstanding programme of live entertainment throughout the day.
The line-up featured tribute acts celebrating some of the biggest names in music, including:
- EminemTribute by Michael Mathers
- Guns N’ Yorkshire Roses
- Don’t Stop Queen Now
- ABBA Sensation
- The Complete Stone Roses
- AKA Noel Gallagher
- The Patrollers
Each act brought their own energy to the stage, keeping crowds entertained from lunchtime right through until the evening.
Whether people were singing every word, dancing with friends or simply soaking up the atmosphere with a drink in hand, there was always something happening somewhere across the festival.
One of the things that makes Livefields special is seeing every generation enjoying the music together.
Families, couples and groups of friends all came together to celebrate live music in an incredible setting.

The Crowd Made the Festival
Although the performers were fantastic, it was the people attending who really made the day special.
Throughout the festival there were countless moments worth capturing.
Children dancing without a care in the world.
Friends raising a glass together.
Couples enjoying the sunshine.
Families making memories.
People singing along to songs they’ve loved for decades.
These genuine moments are what festival photography is all about.
Rather than staging photographs, I focus on documenting real emotion and authentic experiences, creating images that organisers can use to tell the story of the event for years to come.
Incredible Food for Every Taste
No festival is complete without fantastic food, and Livefields certainly didn’t disappoint.
Visitors had an incredible choice of independent food vendors offering something for everyone.
Some of the highlights included:
- Freshly prepared gyros packed with flavour
- Authentic wood-fired pizzas cooked on site
- Delicious Caribbean cuisine full of spice and colour
- Street food from a variety of local traders
- Sweet treats and desserts
- Refreshing drinks throughout the day
The smell of freshly cooked food drifted across the festival grounds, with queues forming throughout the afternoon as people sampled everything on offer.
It wasn’t just about eating; the food stalls became part of the festival experience, bringing people together while supporting brilliant local businesses.

Cold Drinks Flowing All Day
With the sunshine beating down, the bars were understandably popular throughout the festival.
Beer flowed throughout the day, alongside prosecco, cocktails, soft drinks and plenty of refreshments to help festival-goers stay cool.
The Jäger Bomb and Prosecco stalls proved especially popular, keeping spirits high as the live music continued from stage to stage.
The relaxed atmosphere around the bars perfectly summed up the day—friends chatting, laughing and enjoying themselves responsibly while taking in fantastic live entertainment.
Glitter, Colour and Festival Vibes
One of the most colourful parts of the festival was the glitter stand.
Visitors of all ages embraced the festival spirit with glitter, face decorations and colourful accessories that added even more personality to an already vibrant event.
These small details help create the unique identity that festivals are known for, and they make fantastic photographic moments throughout the day.
Bright colours, smiling faces and spontaneous interactions all contribute towards capturing the true atmosphere of the event.

Supporting the Community
Livefields isn’t just about music.
It’s also about bringing people together and supporting worthwhile causes.
One organisation that stood out throughout the day was ANDYSMANCLUB, who were present helping raise awareness of men’s mental health and encouraging important conversations within the community.
Events like Livefields provide the perfect opportunity for charities and community organisations to connect with people in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Capturing these moments is just as important as photographing the entertainment, helping showcase the wider impact that community festivals can have.
Photographing Every Part of the Story
Festival photography goes far beyond simply photographing performers on stage.
Throughout the day I documented:
- Live music performances
- Crowd reactions
- Families enjoying the festival
- Street food vendors
- Independent traders
- Charity organisations
- Festival atmosphere
- Entertainment
- Behind-the-scenes moments
- Candid portraits
- Stage performances
- Colourful details around the site
Together these images create a complete visual story of the event rather than simply recording who performed.
This documentary approach helps organisers promote future festivals, attract sponsors and preserve memories long after the final song has finished.

Why Festival Photography Matters
Professional event photography provides lasting value long after the event has ended.
High-quality imagery can be used for:
- Social media promotion
- Website galleries
- Future event marketing
- Press coverage
- Sponsorship proposals
- Printed marketing material
- Promotional videos
- Community engagement
Rather than relying on phone photographs, professional coverage ensures every important moment is captured with consistency and creativity.
Thank You, Livefields
A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in organising Livefields Festival 2026.
From the organisers and volunteers to the performers, traders, security teams and every single visitor who attended, everyone played a part in making the festival such a success.
It was a privilege to capture so many genuine moments throughout the day, and I hope these photographs help everyone relive the atmosphere long after the festival has finished.
